Logo refresh

Would you like a change to your logo but don’t want to move too far away from your current one? A logo refresh can be just as effective as a full rebrand.

Not as satisfied with your logo as you used to be? There could be many reasons for this.

Maybe your business has changed its focus and direction. Perhaps the leadership has changed recently. Maybe you created your logo in a bit of a hurry. Or maybe you’ve just had it for a long time. Whatever the reason, the good news is that updating your logo does not have to mean a complete overhaul. Logo refreshes are incredibly useful, and it doesn’t require a full re-launch because your company will still be easily recognisable as you!

Logo refreshes improve your logo. They take away the little things that might be niggling you or are looking out of date, and they emphasise the parts of your logo and brand that are impactful and powerful and add new elements to compliment. They also mean that your logo will be more effective on social media. (Your original logo might not have had to take this into account.)

Typically, a logo refresh will include some/all of the following:

  • A simplification
  • Slight name changes, eg deleting ‘limited.’
  • Possible change of font
  • Variation of colour palette or emphasis on one of the current shades
  • Removal of out of fashion design trends, eg shadows
  • Adjustment of layout or proportion

As with a logo design or rebrand, we still spend time with you learning about your motives, your aspirations, your likes and your dislikes. From there we compile at least six new ideas for you. If there’s something you like, we develop that further. If you’re not quite sure we come up with some more concepts and keep going until you are entirely happy.
