Looking after your website keeps it in tip-top shape and secure and safe from exploitation and cyber attacks.

The software your web designer used to build your site needs regular updates to ensure that it works efficiently and loads quickly, moves between pages efficiently, doesn’t buffer and basically does what it is supposed to.

By keeping your website maintenance and care up to date you are also ensuring your site is secure. The ‘crawlers’ that trawl the internet are looking for vulnerable sites to exploit.  Vulnerable sites have things like out of date software. It’s their ‘way in’.

What does it mean to have a ‘vulnerable’ site?

Once your site is identified as ‘vulnerable’ it is just a matter of time before you will be subject to some kind of hacking or cyber attack.

What happens when you get hacked?

An attack not only brings huge inconvenience and stress it also brings substantial financial costs to correct and rectify the issues.

Until the hacking is resolved Google will not list your site. This means you will also lose sales or enquiries and your customer/relationship and your reputation could also be damaged. Often the most important costs are the ones you are unable to measure.

How can you look after your website?

Our WordPress Care Packages solve the performance and security issues in one go. Plus you will receive monthly usage reports so you can really start to use your website as a serious marketing tool.

We can offer ideas to increase traffic or take more advantage of the traffic you have and if you choose the premium or advanced packages you receive monthly studio time so you can make amends and tweaks, add in promotions and offers on a monthly basis (this will also massively help your search engine optimisation).

Take action today and sign up above, give us a call or drop us an email so that you can secure and keep developing your website.

Prices exclude VAT. No long-term contract. **Cancel anytime

It is important for all of our clients to understand that although our WordPress Care service is not obligatory, by providing this service to you we are covering our obligation of care and liability in the event of a hack, attack or loss of data due to malicious activity. This is also useful to you in potentially reducing premiums for Cyber Liability Insurance. However, by declining our service of WordPress care you are agreeing that we (Adventure Graphics Ltd) cannot be held responsible for any instance of a malicious attack, hack or loss of files and data from your website and you accept full responsibility for the security and safety of all data on your website. Also, by declining our services of WordPress Care you understand that we (Adventure Graphics Ltd) are not obligated to restore service to your website in the event of an attack or hack and as such any action requested by you to us to attempt to restore normal service would incur a cost amounting to possibly several hundred pounds and we would only proceed with the works if that cost is agreed in advance by you.

*Our care plan is comprehensive and we evolve it according to ever-changing online best practice. Unfortunately, hackers are becoming increasingly sophisticated and there is always a small risk of cyber-attack no matter how protected your site is.

**If you cancel your cover it will end at the end of the month and no refunds are given for that month.

Please note: our care plans do NOT include hosting. We can provide hosting for you or work with your existing hosting provider. However, these fees will not be bundled into our care plan prices. So, if we are providing hosting this fee will be on top of your care plan pricing.

*** = Unused time does NOT roll over into the next month.

What do the hackers do?

Hackers are effectively online burglars. They find a way round passwords and into your websites. They do it to steal personal details they can use to make money or just to cause disruption and mayhem.

How will I know if I’ve been hacked?

You might not know but search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc) have something called a blacklist. Every day they condemn 9,500 websites to this list. Why? Because their software has detected something called ‘malware’ on your website. This ‘malware’ has been left there by hackers.

What happens if you are put on this blacklist?

The search engines won’t let anyone get to your website until the unwanted data is removed, you’ve informed the search engine and then they remove you from the blacklist.

How long does this take?

The answer is it simply depends. It’s virtually impossible to remove the malware by hand so you will need to purchase specific technology or refer to a professional company.

Why is hacking so bad?

Not only will it be costly in terms of your lost revenue, leads and your time it will affect your business reputation and could affect your clients/customers. Financially, we’re talking hundreds of pounds to put it right. Whilst this is inconvenient enough it would be impossible to put a price on jeopardizing your customer’s trust or your organisation’s reputation.

What can you do to protect yourself?

You can opt to cover yourself in the form of monthly care/protection packages.

We offer our own range cost-effective monthly WordPress care plans that will protect your website from hacks and attack so that you don’t run the risk of being effectively taken offline.

It will also keep it updated and working seamlessly. You know when you’re phone starts becoming a bit annoying? It’s often because it hasn’t been having the suggested updates. Your website is affected in the same way. The care plans won’t just protect your website they will give it the TLC it really needs.

Our packages start from just £35 per month + vat.

I have web hosting so doesn’t that mean that I am already protected?

No, whilst it strives to be as secure as possible web hosting doesn’t offer any additional personal protection against cyber attacks.

How concerned should I be?

In time we believe that it will have become par for the course to have website protection. You may not be hacked but equally, you could be.

If you choose to protect your website not only are you buying peace of mind you are also taking steps to keep your website working to its optimum which can only ever be good for your business or service.
