What they wanted
Project Demeter may be humble in its origins but they are beyond ambitious in their mission and wanted a brand and website that would give them the launch-pad to connect with like-minded organisations and people and most importantly demonstrate their commitment and vision as a not-for-profit organisation.
What we did
Alex, the founder of Project Demeter, came to us with the name and ideas for the logo. We worked through quite a few concepts including the Goddess Demeter and climate stripes. The one that Alex was really keen to develop the idea of the hexagon. A shape that bees use so innovatively. One of the three Project Demeter missions, as a not-for-profit organisation, was also affectionately called the ‘hive’, an online and physical hub that would encourage and promote collective action. The final logo reflected everything that Alex wanted to communicate about Project Demeter, on so many levels.
The website was designed to work for the not-for-profit organisation as it is now, but also as it needed to as Project Demeter grows.
The content needed to speak to the corporate and individual audiences who are feeling powerless in the face of the Climate Crisis and gave them the hope and optimism that Project Demeter is passionate about promoting.
As part of their not-for-profit mission, they wanted to raise funds but in a sustainable, eco way. We used Teemill to set up their shop and designed a range of merchandise designs.
We also created an introduction video that features on the home page and can be used across socials and on YouTube.

The inspirational not-for-profit Project Demeter has the professional branding and website it needs to promote its critical mission and grow their community and has the capacity to grow as they do.
Only recently, we have added a blog to their website and are helping where we can with social posts and copywriting too!
